A vision for the future
Exciting plans for a new theatre by architects O’Donnell & Tuomey were selected from 56 entries to our open design competition in 2003. They have been working closely with us to shape a building that will be central in positioning the rapidly developing city of Belfast as a major European destination.
The new theatre will be alive and dramatic at all times, at the heart of our community. Spacious lobbies and bars overlooking the river, beautiful auditoria and an exciting artistic programme will make the Lyric a real visitor destination – with all of the amenities expected in the 21st Century!
