Take Your Seat
As the outer shell of the new theatre continues to rise out of the ground on Ridgeway Street we have started to turn our attention to the internal fixtures, furnishings and finishes. Amongst the most important of these is the selection of the new seats in the main auditorium. Comfort, durability and design are all major factors being considered by our Board of Directors, staff and architects.
As you might imagine, the process is not a simple one with people of all shapes and sizes expressing differing opinions on what makes a good seat. What we do agree on is the need to get it right. It’s hard to believe that we are less that 18 months away from the first performance in our new venue and the night when audiences will take their seat to watch the curtain rise on Northern Ireland’s newest state-of-the-art Theatre.
